Duck Hunting Opportunities
During the fall and winter months, we provide our customers with some of the best waterfowl hunting in Texas. Richland Chambers Reservoir, the Richland Creek Wetlands and private ponds and lakes we hunt, hold large numbers of wintering waterfowl. The large variety of species of ducks our hunters bag include, Blue Wing Teal, Green Wing Teal, Mallards, Pintails, Gadwall, Northern Shovler and Wigeon. However, it is not uncommon to take Wood Duck, Canvasback and Red Heads.
We provide, the hunting location, professional guide, retriever, decoys and the bird processing. We require you to have, chest waders, face mask or face paint, full camo clothing, 12 or 20 gauge shotgun with #2 or #4 steel shot, state hunting license, federal waterfowl stamp, state waterfowl stamp and a hunters safety card. If you or any of your hunters have a physical disability that would prevent them from wading in the mud or getting in and out of the boat, please let us know prior to your trip. We can accommodate anyone with some prior notice.
Duck Hunt - 2 hunter minimum. $200 per gun. We can accommodate groups up to 16 shooters. All hunts are private, your group will not be mixed with another party. Hunts last until noon or until a limit has been reached.
Cast-N-Blast - 2 person minimum. $300 per person.
Spend a full day on the water shooting ducks and catching fish. During duck season the Blue Catfish on Richland Chambers are on a “hot bite”. A typical cast-n-blast trip will yield a limit of ducks and a limit of Blue Cats. The Hybrid Striper bite can be good during duck season, however, their bite is more inconsistent, but many limits have been taken after a morning hunt.
